Having Many Options

IMG_6353-0.JPGWouldn’t it be nice if we were able to say that we have many options in life? Well, that’s not so far fetched! What it takes is to carefully choose the nicest shaped pebble to cast the best ripples in the pond of this so called life. The rock or pebble represents the ACTION we take. The quality and shape of the stone represent how well calculated are the steps we took before execution.

“Our ripple today depends on the quality and shape of the pebble that made it.” ~Jason N. Bagorio

Don’t gamble. Take a calculated risk. Every step we take could present a risk, but making informed decisions in our day to day lives lead us to more options later down the road. Be coachable in your approach to learning. If you don’t know it, be bold and ask for help. Say no to your egos and enlist a mentor that will show you the way. Ask someone who has been there and has done the dues. Read books, manuals, how-to’s, or blogs. They could be good for you. Learn the theory before doing the practice. Don’t take me wrong. Making our own mistakes are vital to our own maturity and growth as long as we learn from them. But if we can mitigate making horrible ones…Why not?

The moment we are delivered into this world, we have taken steps and made small or big decisions along the way, from what food to eat to what we spend our spare time on. From what classes or courses to take, to what sports or activities to participate in. From choosing friends to hangout with, to whom we choose to go on a date with. From what university to what career path to take. From choosing where we would live, to choosing the right person to marry. All of these decisions are building blocks. One too many wrong moves will not help you get faster to where you are going. The stronger the base or the foundation, as we build and compile good decisions, the sturdier and indestructible our structure becomes.

It is never too late to build a strong foundation that will bring us unlimited options! The earlier it is, the better. But if we need to rebuild and start from square one, go for it! Don’t look back. Don’t waste time. Begin doing it right and proper today. Start planting the best crops and enjoy the benefits of a good harvest.
